Services for Jimmie Owens Jr., 53 of Gans, OK will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Moffett School Gymnasium in Moffett, OK. Burial will follow at Gans Cemetery in Gans, OK under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on November 2, 1965 in Ft. Smith, AR to Sandra Corbit Owens and Jimmy Earl Owens Sr. and passed away on February 13, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Linelle Alexander Owens on April 5, 1991 in Gans, OK. He was a deacon and sunday school teacher at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, OK. He started his teaching career at Bell and Gans Schools and was a teacher, coach and principal for 17 years at Moffett Public Schools and was the Superintendent for the last 4 Years. He loved to hunt, was a carpenter and loved to be outdoors.

1 son and daughter in law: JJ and Trinity Owens of Keota, OK

1 Daughter: Samantha Jo Owens of the home

1 grandchild: Eden Sinclair Owens

several other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: Matthew Owens

Active pallbearers will be Todd Butcher, Jeremy McAllister, Pat Forslund, Shannon Watts, Lance Stewart, Greg Reynolds, David Watts and Rick Pendergrass.
 
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Owens, Jackie Owens, Bobby Owens, Anthony Williams, Starr Real, Phillip Davis, Mark Jones, T.C. Coynor, Nicholas Jones, Randy Hyatt and Sylvester Carolina.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Monday at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
