Jimmie S. Jones

Jimmie Sylvester Jones passed away with family by his side on October 15, 2019.

Jimmie was born on November 6, 1932 to the late Vester and Myrtie Jones in Redland, Oklahoma. He married Carol Wilson on March 23, 1956. They shared 63 beautiful years of marriage together. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was an active member of First Baptist Church Roland and worked as a mechanic at Dixie Cup for 40 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and the Oklahoma Sooners. He will be remembered for his patience, work ethic, and love for sports.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol Jones, 2 children, Vickie Terry and husband, David, and Lisa Martin and husband, Randy, 4 grandchildren, Rachel, Brittany, Sarah, and Emily, one great grandchild, Sylvia, sister, Betty Heard, and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Nancy Collier and Myrtie Childers.

Pallbearers will be David Terry, Randy Martin, Chase Buck, Cody Boyers, Wayne Childers, Mark Childers and James Childers.

The Celebration of Jimmie’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at First Baptist Church Roland. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Visitation will be held at 3 – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Mulrdow, Oklahoma where family will greet from 5 – 7 PM.
