Funeral Service for Jimmy Dewayne Bearden, 80, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Church of God in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Long Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Jimmy Dewayne Bearden was born the fourth of eight children on November 16, 1941 in Leedey, Oklahoma to Bessie Murel (Newton) Bearden and William Henry Bearden and passed away on June 16, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Karen Sue (Baker) Bearden on January 29, 1965 in Dinuba, California. He was a kind father, a very devoted husband, and was highly respected by all that knew him. He was an active and dedicated member of the Muldrow Church of God. He proudly served his country and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

The family would like to thank the nurses and medical staff of Baptist Health Hospice for all the love and care they have shown during this difficult time.

Survivors are:

wife of 57 years, Karen of the home;

2 sons, James William Bearden of Muldrow, OK and Eric Leon Bearden of South Korea;

1 daughter-in-law, Tamara Davis Bearden of Rio Linda, CA;

3 grandchildren, Donovan and Arianna Bearden of Fort Polk, LA, Kyra Bearden and Hannah Bearden, both of Rio Linda, CA;

2 sisters, Glenda Bearden of Dinuba, CA and Sandra Robinson of Salem, OR;

2 brothers, Al Bearden of LaBelle, MO and Ronald Bearden of Dinuba, CA;

and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Byron Eugene; his parents; one sister, Betty; and two brothers, William Henry Jr. and Cecil.

Active Pallbearers will be Les Humphrey, Tom Palmer, Josh Dees, Rod Hilburn, John Wainwright and Bob Thrasher.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Harrod and Charles Baker.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
