Please join us in paying honor and respect to Jimmy Joe “J.J.” Hight’s memory by participating in a Memorial Motorcade and passing in front of Mr. Hight’s Home from 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2020 where Mrs. Hight and her family will be able to see all of the friends and loved ones that have come to share their love. A Private Family Graveside Service will be at a later time at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on June 17, 1942 in Drakes Prairie in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Ruby Katherine (Hamil) Hight and William Jacob Hight and passed away on April 13, 2020 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Mary Ann (Strassle) Hight on August 7, 1987 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was the former owner and operator of Valley Land and Title Company and also a former Top Agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. J.J. was a former member of the Army National Guard.

Survivors are:

wife: Mary Ann Hight of the home;

son: Jason Hight and Pam of Sallisaw, OK;

2 grandchildren: Lyndzey Brooke Francis Hight and Jason Joe Dolan Hight;

beloved mother of his grandchildren: Jenny Rebecca Hight Johnson and husband Mike of Sallisaw, OK;

sister: Mary Lou Hight Thompson of Sallisaw, OK;

brother-in-law: John Knight of Russelville, OK;

sister-in-law: Velma Hight of Sallisaw, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Bennie, Byron and Rose Ellen, and Robert Hight and Freda; 4 sisters, Louise Berg, Marcella Knight, Nellie Sue Barger and Si, and June Dorsey and Jody; brother-in-law, Clem Thompson; and his best friend, Albert Sallee.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Beshears, Wayne Craighead, Larry Randolph, Johnny Dale Ely and Jim Hudgins.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 4 PM Tuesday and 10 AM – 4 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
