Funeral Service for Joe Ed Lee, 90, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on February 25, 1933 in Lee’s Chapel Community in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma to Mary Jane (Dority) Lee and Frank Emmett Lee and passed away on November 4, 2023 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He was married to Barbara Jean (Weaver) Lee on October 16, 1955 in Bakersfield, California. He was a longtime and beloved barber around the community and a member of Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed raising cattle, working his cow dogs, riding horses and everything around the farm. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict and was a Prisoner of War survivor. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He will be missed by many.

Survivors are wife, Barbara of the home; two sons, Joe Lee and Amy Allen of Lahaina, HI and Bill Lee and Nancy of Roland, OK; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Galbiso of Stillwater, OK, Michael Lee of Fort Smith, AR and Brendan Lee and Lucinda of Liberty, OK; five great-grandchildren, Braxsten, Hudson, Michael, Jr., Jadelynn and Tommy; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight sisters, Helen Metheny, Reba Shackelford, Hallie Shackelford, Ruby Lee, Margie Holcombe, Lizzie Snider, Bessie Gilbert and Ruth Lee; and five brothers, Dave Lee, John Lee, Tom Lee, Robert Lee and Billy Gene Lee.

Active Pallbearers will be Allen Hale, Richard Snider, Albert Snider, Jerry Howell, Brendan Lee and Michael Lee.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Allen Hale, Sr., Richard Huggins and the members of Carnie Welch VFW Post 8384.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
