Joe Franklin Hardin, Sr.

Graveside Service for Joe Franklin Hardin, Sr., 85, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 14, 1937 in Brent, Oklahoma to Anise (Houser) Hardin and Homer William Hardin and passed away on January 1, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Shirley (Isham) Hardin on June 4, 1960 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2021. He was a retired hand winder from Baldor Electric Company and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are two sons, Joe Hardin and Emily of Van Buren, AR and Troy Hardin and Margaret of Muskogee, OK; five grandchildren, Lexi Holwick and Aaron, Michaela Hardin-Ward and Park, Mariah Hardin, Tom Hardin and Josh Doran and Lyn; one great-grandchild, Olivia; one brother, Russell Hardin of Muldrow, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Wayne Hardin; wife, Shirley Hardin; parents; one sister, Lola Bedwell; and four brothers, John, Pat, Everett and Thelbert Hardin.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
