Services for Joe Ronald Ellis, 78 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Blue Ribbon Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on March 18, 1940 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Wynona Inez (Curnutte) Ellis and William Charles Ellis and passed away on December 30, 2018 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Pearlene Fisher Ellis on April 25, 1960 in Poteau, Oklahoma. Mr. Ellis was a retired educator.

Survivors are:

wife, Pearlene of the home;

1 daughter, Jolene Ellis of Sallisaw, OK;

2 sons, Ronald Shawn Ellis and Rebecca Hoover of Sallisaw, OK and James Arthur and Angela Ellis of Sallisaw, OK;

4 grandchildren, Jamie Stamps and husband, Bryan, Haley Ellis, William Colton Ellis and Dusty Joe Ellis;

2 great grandchildren, Hunter Boling and Hayden Giboney;

2 brothers, James Arthur Ellis of Kissimmee, Fl and Johnny Lee Ellis of Nowata, OK;

several other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Jack Ellis and William “Bill” Ellis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s.
