Services for John A. Gordon, 82 of Long Community, OK will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church in Sallisaw, OK. Burial will follow at Long Cemetery in Muldrow, OK under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

He was born on August 21, 1935 in Cookson, OK to Ida Ioma Sites Gordon and Broadus Alfred Gordon and passed away on May 27, 2018 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was married to Bobbie Woody Gordon on September 21, 1957 in Stilwell, OK. He was a warehouseman for Whirlpool Corporation for 35 years

and Shelly and Jesse Nelke of Long, OK

3 sons: Doug and Janice Gordon of Roland, OK,
Michael Gordon of Afton, OK,
and Hal and Christi Gordon of Panama, OK

10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Nettie Lee, Cherry Smith and Betty Frye, 5 brothers: Denver Gordon, Henry Gordon, Melburn Gordon, Leroy Smith and Plummer Smith

Active Pallbearers will be Roy Coleman, Jessie Nelke, Rick Morris, Chandler Gordon, Stevie Astre,
Caleb Bentley and Brandon Just.

Viewing will be at Church before service.
