Graveside Service for John L. Hightower, 83 of Tulsa, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on April 6, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Margie (Faught) Fisher and Roy Bill Hightower and passed away on September 28, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Betty Ellen (Ross) Hightower on December 5, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Hightower was a brick mason and U.S. Navy Veteran.

Survivors are:

wife: Betty of the home;

1 daughter: Pam Ivey and Jim of Tulsa, Ok;

1 son: John Hightower Jr and Sandra Kinion of Owasso, OK;

3 grandchildren: Nick Ivey and Susana, Zack Ivey and Skylar Hightower;

4 great grandchildren: Elaina and Jordan, Sophia and Alex;

2 sisters: Beverly Hudson of Avant, OK and Barbara Hudson of Catoosa, OK;

6 brothers: Bill Campbell of Claremore, OK, Jerry Stark of Carson City, Nevada, Darrell Hightower of Tulsa, OK, Roy Hightower Jr. of Tulsa, OK, Larry Starks of Nevada and Terry Starks of Nevada;

several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Roy Hightower and Margie Fisher,step mother: Dorothy Dean, 1 son: Jerry Dale Hightower, 1 sister: Linda Bland, and 1 brother: Robert Hightower.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 pm Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
