He was born on August 27, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Francis Marie (Woods) Phillips and John Boekeloo MacDonald and passed away on October 18, 2024 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Sheila C. (Whalen) MacDonald on September 20, 2003 in Lake Tenkiller, Oklahoma. He was the owner and operator of a car dealership and of the Assembly of God faith.

Survivors are wife, Sheila of the home; daughter, Sue Jackson and Stoney of Searcy, AR; son, Johnny MacDonald and Deanna of Knoxville, TN; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Patrick MacDonald of Sallisaw, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Mickey MacDonald and Jeff MacDonald.
