Graveside Service for John Robert Dunlap, 78, formerly of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

John Robert Dunlap was born on April 9, 1942 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to the late Joseph Ralph and Jessie Molillie (Potts) Dunlap and passed away on November 14, 2020 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was a member of the Church of Christ, an ironworker, and a member of the Masonic Fraternity for over 50 years. When he was able, John enjoyed to hunt, fish, or just visit over a good cup of coffee.

Survivors are:

1 son: Jim Dunlap and Dolly of Sallisaw, OK;

1 daughter: Sara Johnson and Shawn of Prairie Grove, AR;

4 grandchildren: Jennifer Agent and Clint, Joe Dunlap and Liz, Nate Johnson and Eli Johnson;

2 great-grandchildren: Spencer and Sloane Agent;

1 sister: Carol Ann Gatewood of Wagoner, OK;

several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ralph and Jessie Molillie (Potts) Dunlap; one son, John William “Billy” Dunlap; and two brothers, Joseph Leon “J.L.” Dunlap and James George “Jimmy” Dunlap.

Active Pallbearers will be Joe Dunlap, Clint Agent, Nate Johnson and Eli Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the Sallisaw Masonic Lodge.

Viewing and Visitation will be Noon – 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
