John Wesley Dyer

Funeral Service for John Wesley “Jay” Dyer, 83, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 8, 1938 in Santa Ana, California to Susie (Watts) Dyer and Neal Woodrow Dyer and passed away on November 23, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a retired Janitor for Roland Public Schools and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are:

2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Darlene Jones of Roland, OK and Debbie Dean and Robert of Muldrow, OK;

4 grandchildren, Jaylene Patterson and James of Roland, OK, Josh Jones of Fayetteville, AR, Raymond Dean of Muldrow, OK and Wesley Dean and Betty of Muldrow, OK;

7 great-grandchildren, Jacob Johnson and Samantha, Lane Johnson and Whitney, Jaydin Dean, Rylan Dean, Remington Denny, Ryder Dean and Reid Dean;

1 great-great-grandchild, Lanely Paige Johnson;

sister and brother-in-law, Sandra O’Neal and Kenneth of Liberty, OK;

brother, Joe Dyer of Muldrow, OK;

2 brothers-in-law, Buddy Frazier and Blondie Frazier and Connie;

sister-in-law, Jean Barnes;

and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jacob Marvin Jones; two brothers, Tom and Brad Dyer; two sisters-in-law, Lavada Frazier and Melladene Brogdon; two brothers-in-law, Easter Barnes and Edward Brogdon; and special nephew, Warren Lee “Bobo” Brogdon.

Active Pallbearers will be Wesley Dean, Jacob Johnson, Lane Johnson, James Patterson, Rylan Dean, Jaydin Dean and Robert Dean.

Viewing and Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 4 – 6 PM.
