Funeral Service for Johnny Lee Jones, 78, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on July 7, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Elmo Jones and Loretta LaBreque Jones and passed away on June 15, 2020 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was married to Beverly Jo (Riggs) Jones on March 6, 1965 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 19, 1995. He worked as a Survey Technician and a Transportation Equipment Operator for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for 27 years and retired in 2002. He owned John’s DX Station and John’s Auto Service in Vian, Oklahoma and was a Veteran for the United States Army Reserve. He served from 1964 – 1969 in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Regina Risley and Dean, Jr. of Vian, OK;

2 grandchildren: Heather and Tyler Choate and Hannah Risley all of Vian, OK;

2 great-grandchildren: Chloe and Jackson Choate of Vian, OK;

1 brother: Harold James Jones of Choctaw, OK;

a special friend: June Long Isbell of Sallisaw, OK;

several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife: Beverly (Riggs) Jones.

Active Pallbearers will be Tyler Choate, Dean Risley Sr., Kevin Baker, Donald Wayne Trammell, Mike Davis and Chuck Pierce.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
