He was born on September 8, 1948 in Vian, Oklahoma to Flora Kathryn (Cowett) Holeman and Edgar Peoples and passed away on December 10, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Naoma June (Young) Peoples on March 5, 1970 in Vian, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2023. Mr. Peoples was a welder and of the Christian Faith

Survivors are one daughter, Montea Johnson and Chris Randolph of Muldrow, OK; one son, Johnny Wayne Peoples and Trudie of Sallisaw, OK; four granddaughters, Teara Turner and Mitchell of Sallisaw, OK, Angelica Johnson of North Carolina, Ariel Preston and Mickey of Bokoshe, OK and Samantha Johnson and Colton of Sallisaw, OK; five grandsons, Sheldon Peoples of Fort Smith, AR, Charlie Cotner of Sallisaw, OK, Tyler Locust of Sallisaw, OK, Michael Locust and partner Logan of Sallisaw, OK and Grant Peoples and Hannah of Sallisaw, OK; 11 great-grandchildren, Majestic, Zayla, Bentley, Skyler, Kathlina, Kathilaya, Madisen, Connor, McKenzie, River and Mickey and two on the way;

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
