Funeral Service for Johnny Mack Gipson, 72 of Fort Smith, Arkansas will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on February 26, 1949 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Clara Magadaline (Patterson) Gipson and John Ermon Gipson and passed away on September 10, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a Millwright and member of Millwrights and Machinery Erectors Local #1102, a supporter of VFW 8384 in Muldrow, Oklahoma, a United States Army Veteran and a Cherokee Indian. He loved working on and rebuilding trucks and cars. He also loved tinkering on anything.

Survivors are:

1 son: James “Smokey” Coleman Gipson and Sheila of Fort Smith, AR;

1 sister: Patty Elkins of Fort Smith, AR;

2 brothers: Tommy Frank Gipson and Janis of Van Buren, AR and Ermon Troy Gipson of Nacogdoches, TX;

other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, George A. Gipson, Argel E. Gipson, Al Gipson and Dwight Edward Gipson.

Active Pallbearers will be Michael Angelo Gipson, Tommy Gipson, Kirby Rogers, Ermon Gipson, Billy Bull and Dan DeShoner.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
