Joshua Kale Choate

Funeral Service for Joshua Kale Choate, 30, of Marble City, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Blunt Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Choate Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on May 4, 1991 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Regina (Allen) Choate and Leslie Choate and passed away on April 7, 2022 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to hunt for arrowheads and had a large collection of them. Most of his life was spent in construction with his Dad Leslie and his Uncle Watie.

Survivors are:

2 sons, Anderson Kale Choate and Mason Lee Choate, both of Tahlequah, OK;

parents, Leslie and Regina Choate of Marble City, OK;

2 sisters, Angel Choate and Jaela Cottrell, both of Sallisaw, OK;

grandmother, Alice Allen of Gore, OK;

3 nieces, Courage, Savannah and Scarlett;

3 nephews, Remington, Prestley and Peyton;

2 uncles, Kelly and Watie;

2 aunts, Sheila and Lavonne;

mother of his late son Tairyn, Kassi Shelton;

and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Tairyn Kane Choate; grandparents, Bill and Eula Choate; great-grandmother, Faye Allen; one nephew, Rhett Cottrell; one aunt, Lori Watson; one special uncle, Billy Choate, Jr.; and one aunt, Punkin Choate.

Active Pallbearers will be Kelly Kirk, Darin Schmidt, Clint Swanson, Chandler Eubanks, Joe Marshall and Joe McEver.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent Smith, Micah Don Rowland, Cody Connelly, Sherman Connelly, Clay Choate, Johnny “Wawa” Walter, Todd McGowan and Jackie Hardbarger.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
