Burial for Joyce Colon, 72, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on September 2, 1950 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Mary Marie (McDonald) Looper and Clifford Vernon Looper and passed away on August 27, 2023 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Jose Colon on May 28, 1999 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2020. She was a Quality Control Specialist at Tyson Foods.

Survivors are six children, Amy Price, Clark Ballinger, Mark Ballinger, Arlena Massa, Travis Ballinger and Destin Colon; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; many children of the heart; three sisters, Rosa Scott, Merilyn Looper and Kathy Freeman; one brother, Glenn Looper; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren, two half-brothers; and three half-sisters.
