Joyce Kathryn Vann

Funeral Service for Joyce Kathryn Vann, 85 of Short, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Short Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Seabolt Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on January 23, 1939 in Everton, Arkansas to Madge (Young) Heard and Cecil Heard and passed away on August 7, 2024 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was married to Hubert Lafayette Vann on February 28, 1959 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Vann retired from GNB Battery.

Survivors are two daughters, Teresa Vann and partner, Belinda Smith of Hot Springs, AR, and Christy RIchard of Pea Ridge, AR; four grandchildren, Tyler Blaylock, Micah Wofford, Sarah Freeman, and Sophia Richard; three great-grandchildren, Kayden Blaylock, Zailen Wofford, and Gracie Faye Freeman; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Wofford; grandson, Barrett Blaylock; husband, parents, two sisters, Anna May Saylor and Carolyn Carpenter; three brothers, Don, Jerry, and Johnny Heard. 

Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Saturday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 4 - 6 PM .
