Funeral Service for Judy Kay Whitmire, 68 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 12 Step Fellowship in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on November 27, 1954 in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas to Minnie Pairlee (Triplett) Glenn and Wilburn Eugene Rowell and passed away on August 19, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Whitmire was a caregiver.

Survivors are two daughters, Jody Benge and Kodie of Vian, OK and Shonna Allen and Travis of Sallisaw, OK; great-grandson whom she raised, Dawson Silva Hutson of the home; mother, Minnie Glenn of Vian, OK; six grandchildren, Dylan Kate Hutson of Oklahoma City, OK, Brytan J’Lynn Rhoades of Muldrow, OK, Makenzie Rhoades of Sallisaw, OK, Michael Gage Rouse of Vian, OK, Brett Ashton Rouse of Vian, OK and Tia Cheyenne Rouse of Vian, OK; eight great-grandchildren, Kiera, Kiri, David Jr., Sora, Remy, Remington, Ruger and Rhenn; five brothers, Carl Waldron of Houston, TX, Kenneth Rowell of McAlester, OK, Billy Rowell of Vian, OK, Arland Rowell of Vian, OK and Bobby Rowell of Vian, OK; one step-sister, Leona Hensley of Coalgate, OK; four step-brothers, Wes Fortenberry of Oklahoma City, OK, Jess Fortenberry of Yukon, OK, Wendell Fortenberry of Magnum, OK and Brian Fortenberry of Checotah, OK; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; grandson, David Kyle Hutson; brother, David Rowell; step-father, Kenneth Fortenberry and step-brother, Floyd Fortenberry.

Viewing will be noon – 6 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
