Judy Ann (Scott) Blair, aged 75, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on November 3, 2024, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on April 21, 1949, she the daughter of Iris June (Woodhull) Scott and Samuel Avis Scott. Judy's life was characterized by her dedication to education and her commitment to her community.
She married Stanley Blair on June 17, 1989, in Sallisaw. Judy dedicated many years to teaching, retiring from Sallisaw Public Schools and also contributing to the Sallisaw Adult Education Center. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, where she shared her passion for learning and community service.
Judy is survived by her husband, Stanley; daughter, Hannah Branham, and Joe, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. three sons: Greg Asbill of Sallisaw, Jarrett Blair of Roland, and Matthew Blair, along with his wife Hannah "Liz," also from Roland. Judy was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Nate, Brennen, Ethan, Brooklyn, Danny, Judy, Jaxston, Harper, and Hazel. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Mitchell of Sallisaw, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service honoring Judy's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, followed by burial at Akins Cemetery. The service is being conducted under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Active pallbearers include Greg Asbill, Jarrett Blair, Matthew Blair, Nate Asbill, Brennen Asbill, and Ethan Asbill.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 10 AM to 8 PM, with a family visitation from 6 PM to 8 PM.
Judy's legacy as a devoted educator, loving family member, and community member will be cherished by all who knew her.
