Graveside Service for Justin Ryan Matthews, 45 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Justin was born on December 24, 1976 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Deborah Sue (McKinney) Matthews and Carl Wayne Matthews and passed away on August 21, 2022 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Justin enjoyed playing the guitar and loved music. Jam sessions with friends and family were always a large part of his life. He worked in computer and information technology after his days at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK where he enjoyed so much of his time there as a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Survivors are:

companion: Leslie Stephens of the home;

mother: Debbie Matthews of Sallisaw, OK;

1 sister: Ashley Talburt and her husband, Kregg of Tahlequah, OK;

3 brothers: Steven Matthews of Oklahoma, Kirksey Matthews of Sallisaw, OK and Josh Matthews of Sallisaw, OK;

several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father: Carl Matthews, 1 sister: Carla Morgan and 1 nephew: Jayden Matthews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Rhoades, Derrick Rhoades, Todd McKinney, Tim McKinney, Mikey McKinney, Mike Taylor and members of Pi Kappa Alpha, Theta Epsilon Chapter, Fall 1996.
