She was born on October 14, 1953 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Myria (Locust) Ballard and Tuxa Ballard and passed away on April 26, 2021 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was a Granny at Vian Public Schools and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are:

nieces and nephews: Destyni Ballard, Chelsea Lasiter, Alison Ballard, Xena Ballard, Alexis Ballard, Whitney Cline, Ahyoka Clopton, Renny Russell, Ross Cline, Mandi Lynn Jarchow, Michelle Hightower and Carlton Hightower;

numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Tackett; her parents; one brother, Tuxa Ballard; and two sisters, Katina Cline and Connie Book.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
