Services for Kenneth Anthony Steely, 58 of Short, OK will be at 1:00 pm on January 22, 2018 at Short Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on November 10, 1959 in Sallisaw, OK to Doris Shakingbush Steely and J.W. Steely and passed away on January 17, 2018 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was a painter at Baldor Electric and a member of Short Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

mother: Doris Steely of Short, OK

4 sisters: Brenda Jones and Phillip of Pocola, OK, Fern Williams and Terry of Spiro, OK, Sheila Box and James of Pocola, OK, and Donna Dewater and Tom of Roland, OK

4 brothers: Jawayne Steely and Mary of Roland, OK, Mike Steely of Roland, OK, Mark Steely of Roland, OK, and Keith Steely and Marly of Roland, OK

1 adopted brother: Lyle Denny of Nicut, OK

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Steely;
maternal grandparents, William and Ruby Shakingbush; and paternal grandparents, Hughie and Leether Steely

Active Pallbearers will be Mike Steely, Mark Steely, Keith Steely, Shea Steely, Lyle Denny, Joey Rowe and Jimmy Blue.

Viewing will be 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow, OK.

The family will greet 6 – 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
