Funeral Service for Larry Thomas Long, 71, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Larry Thomas Long was born on March 21, 1950 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Mary Adell (Oliver) Long and Thomas Walter Long and passed away on May 29, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Hazel Charlene (Smith) Long on June 9, 1969 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Larry graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1968. He was a truck driver for Oklahoma Nursing Home Supply in Sallisaw for 35 years and spent the rest of his working career at Taylor Rentals in Sallisaw until he retired in 2019. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Larry loved driving big trucks and was a proud Oklahoma Sooner football fan.

Survivors are:

wife of almost 52 years: Hazel of the home;

2 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Angela Breckler and Randy of Sallisaw, OK and Barbara Lott of Sallisaw, OK;

2 granddaughters: Nikki Lloyd and Opey and Faith Lott;

1 grandson: Jakob Lott;

2 great-grandchildren: Kadyn Lloyd and Klair Lloyd;

2 sisters: Sharon Barnett of Sallisaw, OK and Elizabeth Whitlock and Sam of Dyer, AR;

1 brother: Gary Long and Diane of Sallisaw, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Geraldine and Florine; and two brothers, Leon and Ricky.

Active Pallbearers will be Opey Lloyd, Randy Breckler, Richard Lott, Caleb Dotson, Javan Scoggins and Alex Scoggins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Long, Kadyn Lloyd and Jakob Lott.

Viewing and Visitation Noon – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
