Laverna Mae (Tabor) King

A memorial service for LaVerna Mae Tabor King will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow. A private burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery.

LaVerna Mae Tabor King was born on April 7, 1939 to Alice (Buffington) Tabor & Vern Tabor in Portland, CA. She departed this earth on February 19, 2018 in Monroe, LA.

She married B.W. (Jake) King on November 26, 1970 in Roland, OK.

She is survived by her children: Vanessa Griffis & husband Danny of Beebe, AR, Dondi Brown & husband Rick of Frisco, TX,
Aly Brown of Tallulah, LA, and Robert Brown of Tallulah, LA

She is also survived by her grandchildren:
Adam Griffis & wife Gabrielle, Kassidi Brown, Jordi Brown, Kallin Brown, Reese Brown & Daxx Brown

She leaves behind a legacy of love with many family members and friends.

LaVerna began her working career at age 19 at City National Bank. She later retired after working there over 40 years. She cherished her time there with her coworkers becoming part of her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jake, her mother Alice Tabor, & her brother Donald Boyd.
