Funeral Service for Lawrence “Curtis” Bias, 90, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Apostolic Faith Church Trinity in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Funeral Service for Lawrence “Curtis” Bias, 90, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Apostolic Faith Church Trinity in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on August 20, 1929 in Vian, Oklahoma to Charlotta Melinda (Vickery) Bias and Eber Eastmon Bias and passed away on June 9, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Fontreba (Padgett) Bias on March 21, 1998 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was a retired auto mechanic, a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was the Pastor at McKey Baptist Church for over 21 years.

Survivors are:

wife: Fonda of the home;

6 grandchildren: Kristie Hardbarger and Joseph, Johnna McLemore and fiancé, Aurelio Quevedo, Rachel Eagle and Sammy, Shawna Watie, Emily Watie and Jerry Watie, Jr. all of Sallisaw, OK;

5 great-granddaughters: Hayli McLemore, Alyvia Chavez, Anslei Hardbarger, Britton Speir and Emily Speir;

2 great-grandsons: Zavier Chavez and Mehki McMillion;

daughter-in-law: Emily Watie of Sallisaw, OK;

son-in-law: Johnny Dewbre of Sallisaw, OK;

step-son and daughter-in-law: John Speir and Misty of Sallisaw, OK;

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Annabelle Bias; 1 daughter: Deborah Dewbre; 1 son: Jerry Watie; parents: Ebe and Linnie Bias; 2 sisters: Faye Sizemore and Lenora Campbell; and 4 brothers: Buster Burtrum Bias, Pete Bias, Paul Bias and Kirby Bias.

Active Pallbearers will be John Speir, Joseph Hardbarger, Sammy Eagle, Aaron Padgett, Julian Mendiola and Steve Padgett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dewey Padgett, Johnny Dewbre, Harold Lee, Wilburn Lee, Hobie Jones and Tommy Taylor.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Thursday.
