Leigh Ann (Sparkman) Lessley

Funeral Service for Leigh Ann (Sparkman) Lessley, 54, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on June 26, 1967 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Frankie Jo (Woodward) Sparkman and Charles Leland Sparkman and passed away on March 24, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She married James Lea Lessley on July 15, 1989 in Sallisaw, OK. Leigh Ann was an accountant for Steven O’Neal and Bob Hammons. She loved photography, taught line dancing at Carl Albert and loved all kinds of dancing. She really missed it after she became ill. Leigh Ann loved attending the Neshoba County Fair near Philadelphia, MS. She was an avid OU fan and loved all kinds of sports. She was in charge of Main Street and Diamond Daze car shows, was a member of PEO, and a sports photographer. She also enjoyed watching episodes of Little House on the Prairie on television and Broadway musicals, as well as concerts. Leigh Ann was a longtime treasurer at First United Methodist Church and later attended First Presbyterian Church in Sallisaw.

Survivors are:

husband, Lea of the home;

parents, Charles “Sonny” and Frankie Sparkman of Gans, OK;

1 sister, Lisa Fox and Jonathan of Van Buren, AR;

2 brothers, Mitch Sparkman and Tammy of Muldrow, OK and Mark Sparkman and Amy of Van Buren, AR;

and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Active Pallbearers will be Jack Sparkman, Beau Sparkman, Daniel Pixley, Dalton Lessley, Carter Lessley and Bennett Lessley.

Visitation will be 1 – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gregory Kistler Treatment Center, 3304 South “M” Street, Fort Smith, AR 72903.

The family would sincerely like to thank everyone for the many prayers and gifts from Leigh Ann’s numerous friends as well as the nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals for their care and support during her illness.
