Services for Lela Mae (Gothard) Tootle, 87 of Sallisaw, OK will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK. Burial will follow at Brent Cemetery, south of Sallisaw, OK. Mrs. Tootle passed away October 13, 2018 in Sallisaw, OK. She was born August 27, 1931 in Sayre, OK, the daughter of Elbert F. Gothard and Ethel Alberta (Rogers) Gothard. She grew up in Orr, OK and lived in California for many years before moving back to Oklahoma. She worked at Agent Funeral Home for 35 years before retiring in 2006.

Survivors are:

3 daughters: Louise Roberts and Marie Horn, both of Bakersfield, CA and Marlene Batchelder of Sallisaw, OK

3 sons: Danny King, David King and Donald King, all of Sallisaw, OK

12 grandchildren: Trina, Mitch, Melissa, Renee, Rachel, Dawn, Danny Jr, Corey, Jordan, Jason, Logan and Brooklyn

Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her daughter: Genevieve Clarice Tootle, 1 grandson: Joshua King, her sister: Clarice Battles and 4 brothers: T.C., Carol, Richard and Horton Gothard.

Viewing will be Friday 4 – 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK

Active pallbearers will be Danny, David, and Donald King and Clarence Horn.

Honorary pallbearer is the late Kelly “Hotrod” Jackson.
