Funeral Service for Lenna Bernice Henson, 88, of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Living Water Fellowship Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Lenna Bernice Henson, who resided in Roland, Oklahoma, died Saturday, December 21, 2019, in Roland, Oklahoma at the age of 88. She was born on August 2, 1931 to the late Clyde and Lona Perceful. She was married to Herbert Henson on October 13, 1952 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2014.
She was a well-respected teacher in education for thirty-five years. She loved teaching and seeing her students excel in life. She was an avid Roland Ranger fan. She loved to teach her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling across our great country.
Survivors are:
three sons: Michael and Sandy Henson of Maple, OK, Barry and Shelley Henson of Roland, OK and Larry and Robyn Henson of Roland, OK;
four grandchildren: Jonathon Henson and wife, Amber, of Tahlequah, OK, Nathan Henson and wife, Lindsay, of Choctaw, OK, Shannon Peters of Roland, OK and Bethany Howard and husband, Brandon, of Roland, OK;
ten great-grandchildren: Kalijah, Kalesity and Kaiya Peters, Addison, Eleanor and Oliver Howard, Charlotte, Juliette, Herbert and William Henson;
two sisters: Mary Allison of Roland, OK and Martha and Harold Slate of Roland, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; three brothers, Clemo, Earl and Raymond; and one sister, Melba Prewett.
Active Pallbearers will be Jonathon Henson, Nathan Henson, Kalijah Peters, Kalesity Peters, Brandon Howard and Patrick Slate.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Turner, Richard Turner, Robert Turner, Rick Pendergrass, Howard Henson, Carl Henson and Phillip Henson.
Viewing will be 10 AM – 6 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma.
