She was born on November 13, 1936 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Katherine (Schubert) Lowas and Frank Lowas and passed away on January 31, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was married to Robert Joe Williams, Sr. on July 24, 1954 in Oakland, California. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2012. Leona was a hairdresser.

Survivors are:

2 daughters: Kathern Smith and Sandra Barker both of Sallisaw, OK;

1 son: Robert Williams, Jr. and Pamela of Sallisaw, OK;

10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren;

1 brother: Montgomery Lowas of Montega, CA;

other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one brother, Larry Lowas.
