Funeral service for Lera Marie (Ogdon) Southern, 93 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on January 2, 1929 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Willie Mae (Dobbs) Ogdon and Callis Ogdon and passed away on November 10, 2022 in Roland, Oklahoma. She was married to Eugene Wesley Southern on July 13, 1946 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2006. Mrs. Southern was retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center, where she was a dietician

Survivors are one daughter: Judith Ann Whyte of Napa, ID;

one son: Roy Southern of Roland, OK;

three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild;

three sisters: Lucille Reese of Roland, OK, Emma Pearson of Denham, Springs, LA and Delcia Battaglia of Roland, OK;

several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Callis and Willie Ogdon, husband: Eugene Southern and three brothers: Billy, Robert and Donald Ogdon.

Active Pallbearers will be Remington Denny, Asher Southern, Barrytt Southern, Joe Southern, Lance Southern and Billy Southern.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 5 – 7 pm.
