Services for Lois “Marie” James, 88, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Lois “Marie” James was born on January 8, 1931 in Mauldin, Arkansas to Callie (Dwyer) Ashley and Roy Nichol Ashley and passed away on August 17, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Walter Eugene James on May 29, 1947 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2011. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are:

6 children: David James of Sallisaw, OK, Pat Jones and companion, Scott Carey, of Muldrow, OK, Loyd James and wife, Sue, of Van Buren, AR, Don James and wife, Margie, of Roland, OK, John Paul James and wife, Donna, of Muldrow, OK and Dewayne James and wife, Gail, of Muldrow, OK

1 sister: Irma Johnson of Muldrow, OK

1 brother: R.C. Ashley of Pritchett, CO

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. James and her parents, Roy N. Ashley and Callie E. Ashley.

Active Pallbearers will be Tony Jones, John W. Jones III, Wayne Edwards, Michael James, William James and Dakota Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her Grandchildren.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
