Funeral service for Lola (Rhodes) Buckaloo Gowen, 86 of Haskell, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Funeral service for Lola (Rhodes) Buckaloo Gowen, 86 of Haskell, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on November 19, 1935 in Elmore City, Oklahoma to Grace Mattie (Williams) Rhodes and James Benjamin Rhodes and passed away on October 11, 2022 in Haskell, Oklahoma. She was married to Ted Gowen on December 30, 1982 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2011. Mrs. Gowen was a dairy farmer.

Survivors are one daughter, Diana Evans and Ralph of Owasso, OK; five sons, Vernon Buckaloo of Lubbock, TX, Gene Buckaloo and Delores of Gore, OK, Dennis Buckaloo and Linda of Claremore, OK, Glen Buckaloo and Jo of Columbus, KS, and Charlie Buckaloo and Jerilyn of Haskell, OK; 26 grandchildren, Crystal, Crissy, Sonny, Krissy, Kimberly, Jessica, Amanda, Michael, Chad, Tiffany, Heather, Ralph, Savanna, Randy, Chevonn, Brandi, Jerrod, Amber, Becky, Dustin, Steven, Tarah, Kristen, Mikayla, Cherokee and Morgan; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Iva Buckaloo of Tulsa, OK; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Kathleen Buckaloo; grandchild, Joey; and two sisters, Lorene Woods and Betty Jean Welcher.

Active Pallbearers will be Sonny Ganaway, Michael Buckaloo, Chad Buckaloo, Ralph Evans, Randy Buckaloo, Jerrod Buckaloo and Dustin Buckaloo.

Viewing will be 10 am – 6 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
