Services for Loretta “Retta” Nelson Covington, 82 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on October 6, 1936 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Louise McGaugh Nelson and Osborne Nelson and passed away on December 28, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married to Donald Covington on March 23, 1953 in Van Buren, Arkansas. Mrs. Covington was a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ.

Survivors are:

husband, Donald of the home;

daughters, Donna Phillips and Dave of Bella Vista, AR and Toni Ruark of Sallisaw, OK;

granddaughters, Dana Martin and Hamp of Bella Vista, AR, Dara Baldridge and Greg of Leawood, KS and Keli Isbell and David of Sallisaw, OK;

great grandsons, Donavon Baldridge, Andrew Martin, Seth Baldridge, Blake Martin and Ethan Isbell;

great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Isbell;

sister, Laura Galatian of Houston, TX;

She was preceded in death by her parents

Honorary pallbearers will be The Piece Makers from Sallisaw Church of Christ .

Viewing will be 10 am – 6 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 9 – 10 am Wednesday.
