Funeral mass for Lorissa Gonzales, 68, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Lorissa Gonzales was born on March 8, 1956 in Alpine, Texas to Sara (Garcia) Aguilar and Antonio Aguilar, and passed away on April 17, 2024 leaving behind a legacy filled with adventure, passion, and warmth. She was a retired U.S. Army Hospital Administrative Officer and a proud Vietnam Era Veteran. An enthusiast of the great outdoors, Lorissa enjoyed yard work, hunting and fishing, approaching each with vigor and expertise. Her adventurous spirit also took her across the globe, experiencing new cultures and creating lasting memories. At home, Lorissa was an exceptional cook, her kitchen the focal point, always alive with shared meals and laughter. Above all, she was a devout Catholic and cherished her time with family and friends, which stood as the cornerstone of her joyous and fulfilling life. Lorissa’s radiant spirit and heartfelt dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Survivors are husband, Lupe Gonzales of Sallisaw, OK; two daughters and son-in-law, Sarah Gonzales of Sallisaw, OK and Nikki and Cody Osborn of Sallisaw, OK; one granddaughter, Sonora Charlene Osborn of Sallisaw, OK; one grandson on the way, Augustus Wayne Osborn; three sisters, Glynda Gonzales and Bill of Lubbock, TX, JoElla Smart and Michael of Seguin, TX, and Regina Muniz of Monahans, TX; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Antonio Aguilar, Jr., and her brother-in-law, Edward Muniz.
Viewing will be from 4:30 - 6:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with Rosary starting at 6:00 PM.
