Funeral service for Louie Isham, 81 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Vian First Freewill Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on March 23, 1940 in Vian, Oklahoma to Leona (Crook) Isham and Louie Thomas Isham and passed away on September 2, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Isham was a Vian High School graduate. After graduation he nobly served in the military for 6 years. He had an expert in rifle M-14 and bayonet. Louie was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He married the former Miss Sue Baker on June 25, 1966 in Vian, Oklahoma. Louie was a passionate, well-respected auto mechanic for the rest of his career until retirement. Although Sue was his first love, as soon as he was given the title of “Papa”, he found a new lasting love. The things Louie loved most included auto mechanics, spending time with his family, hunting with his family, Saturday night races at the speedway, enjoying time at home in his recliner, being ornery and Braum’s ice cream.

Survivors are:

wife: Sue of the home;

1 daughter: Shawna Henderson of Broken Arrow, OK;

3 sons: Todd Louie Isham of Broken Arrow, OK, Blake Isham of Tulsa, OK and Brett Isham of Broken Arrow, OK;

6 grandchildren: Courtney “Gnita” Isham of Shawnee, KS, Jacob “Jake” Isham of Broken Arrow, OK, Jordan “Jordy Cole” Henderson of Broken Arrow, OK, Shelby “Shelby Lynn” Keith of Broken Arrow, OK, Madison “Maddy Earl” Rector and Wyatt Isham;

1 sister: Margaret Holt and Philip of Vian, OK;

2 Brothers: Henry Isham and Linda of Vian, OK and D.K. Isham and Rebekah of Vian, OK;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Evanell Haynes, Rema Isham, Louise Hicks and 1 brother: Jim “J.T.” Isham.

Active Pallbearers will be Norman Barton Jr., Trent Holt, Hunter Holt, Japeth Sanford, Zack Crow and Matt Athon.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
