He was born on January 18, 1928 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Mary Elizabeth (Kidd) Covington and John Washington Covington and passed away on December 15, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Charlotte Ann (Cotner) Covington on June 5, 1953 in Van Buren, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2020. Mr. Covington was a retired maintenance foreman for the City of Wichita Water Dept. and a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Survivors are:

2 daughters: Beverly Covington and Michael Worm of Vian, OK and Carol Cramb and Craig of Wichita, KS;

1 son: Jeffrey Covington of Wichita, KS;

6 Grandchildren: Jennifer Cooper, Andrew Cramb, Jeremy Rogers, Jessica Sharp, Joseph Rogers and Kyle Cramb;

10 great-grandchildren: Zane Rogers, Ean Sharp, Logan Rogers, Sophia Rogers, Elizabeth Sharp, Gavin Cramb, Landon Rogers, Genny Rogers, Caitlin Cooper and Charlotte Cooper;

1 sister: Beatrice Martin of Hanford, CA;

He was preceded in death by his wife: Charlotte Covington; 1 great-granddaughter: Shelby Cramb; parents: John and Mary (Kidd) Covington; 6 sisters: Ruth, Opal, Ruby, Shirley, and twin sisters: Florene and Darlene; and 3 brothers: infant brother Willis, James and Carl.

Active Pallbearers were Jeremy Rogers, Andy Cramb, Kyle Cramb, Joe Rogers, Adam Cooper and Corey Sharp.
