Mackie Newman

Graveside Service for Mackie Newman, 70 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Seabolt Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on May 27, 1950 in Orange, California to Ruby (McWhirter) Gogian and Morgan Maxwell Newman and passed away on December 8, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Glenda Ellen (Flanagan) Newman on February 3, 1968 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Mr. Newman was an educator at Liberty Public Schools. He was an avid card player, loved all sports, especially if his grandchildren were participating and was a #1 fan of OU. His greatest love of all was his family whom he cherished dearly.

Survivors are:

wife: Glenda of the home;

1 daughter: Shea McCrary and husband, Lucky of Muldrow, OK;

2 grandchildren: Cole Morgan McCrary and fiancee, Allie Henshaw and Chanlee Shea McCrary;

1 sister: Marilyn Janeway of Las Vegas, NV;

1 brother: Frank Gogian of Topeka, KS;

numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson: Zack McCrary.

Active Pallbearers will be Ronal Flanagan, Jeff Ransom, Mark Steely, Lyndon Emberton, Chris Michael, Lucky McCrary and Jud Henshaw.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Morgan, A.J. Henshaw, Bernis Allen, David Taylor, Dan Pinner, Dave Morgan, Danny Morgan and members of Sequoyah County Water Board.

Visitation will be 10 am – 8 pm Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
