Funeral Service for Marcella (Mason) Gibson, 83, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Funeral Service for Marcella (Mason) Gibson, 83, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on June 21, 1936 in Maple Community, Oklahoma to Annie (Brewster) Mason and Leonard James Mason and passed away on December 17, 2019 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was married to Paul Rogers Gibson on June 4, 1966 in Roland, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1987. Marcella was a retired Educator. She began her teaching career in Arkansas and Oklahoma and was a highly revered English Teacher for Muldrow Public Schools for over 30 years. She was a member of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow where she served for years as the church treasurer and also as the treasurer for the local Retired Teachers Association. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, “Motney” and the “Queen” of her family.

Survivors are:

2 daughters: Beth Gibson of Muldrow, OK and Jolene Gibson of Muldrow, OK;

4 grandchildren: Lily Gibson of Muldrow, OK, Olivia Gibson of Muldrow, OK, Diamond Cantrell of Muldrow, OK and Samantha McGee of Gore, OK;

3 great-grandchildren: Kensington Cantrell, Collins Cantrell and Allie Jo McGee;

daughter-in-law: Renea Gibson of Muldrow, OK;

brother and sister-in-law: Bobby Mason and Donna of Muldrow, OK;

special niece that she loved as her own daughter: Janelle Tyler of Muldrow, OK and her daughter, Devin Davis;

numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Steven Gibson; parents; and 2 brothers, John Frank Mason and Jerry Mason.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
