Memorial services for Margaret Lattimore-Kenyon, 83 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on July 2, 1935 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Ivan Thelma (Sparks) Cook and Isaac Harley Cook and passed away on May 14, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Kenyon started her career in education in 1959 and continued for the next 30 years as a First Grade Teacher in Muldrow and Sallisaw Public Schools and served on the Education Foundation She was the original artist of the Sallisaw Black Diamond Man, the Sallisaw mascot. She was a tutor to many children for many years, even after retirement, and was affectionately known as “Mama-Doll” by many throughout the community. Most importantly she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with them to any destination. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors are:

2 daughters and sons-in-law: Pam and Dennis Hiser of Yukon, OK and Patti Dee and James Branham of Sallisaw, OK;

7 grandchildren: Britt Dyer and Jolyn, Brandt Dyer, Josh Hiser and Kate, Neysa Dee Hiser, Hali Ratcliff and Evan, Derreck Branham, Kixton Ramsey and Mykia;

6 great grandchildren: Madelynn, Elliott, Bryn, Harper, Charli and Gunnar;

sister in law: Loretta Neal of Juneau, Alaska;

She was preceded in death by her son: Perry Lee Lattimore, 1st husband: Perry Floyd Lattimore, 2nd husband: Charles Kenyon, parents, 1 sister: Emogene Ingle and 1 brother: J.B. Neal

Visitation with the family will be 5:30 – 7:30 Friday, May 17, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, OK.
