She was born on July 10,1937 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Amye Elizabeth (Ross) Matthews and Loy Melvin Matthews, Sr. and passed away on June 26, 2018 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to J.C. Alexander on March 30, 2000 in Corsicana Texas. She was a retired registered nurse and Protestant.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Janet Harrison-Tubbs of Grove, OK

2 step daughters: Jodi Hall and husband, Rick of Muldrow, OK and Jill Caughman and husband, Lyndell of Sallisaw, OK

1 step son: Denny Harrison and wife, Susie of Sallisaw

8 grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dean Harrison; second husband, J.C. Alexander; her parents, Loy and Amye Matthews; 2 sisters, Betty Gay and Lora Lea Keen; and 3 brothers, Loy Matthew, Jr., Walter Dale Matthews, and Kenneth Matthews.
