Funeral Service for Marsha Lea Edwards, 73, of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Living Water Fellowship Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 25, 1947 in San Francisco, California to Pauline (Boswell) Matye and Jimmy Dee Chastain and passed away on October 11, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Raymond Pierson Edwards on October 5, 1972 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2002. She was a bookkeeper and a member of the Roland Hills Baptist Church. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff of Heart of Hospice and Baptist Health Medical Center in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Survivors are:

2 sons: James Edwards and Carla of Muldrow, OK and Jeff Edwards and Heather of Sand Springs, OK;

10 grandchildren: Trisha Holloway of Hulbert, OK, Cameron Harshbarger and Carson of Wichita, KS, Kelsie Holmes of Sand Springs, OK, Bailie Sedlacek of Edmond, OK, Gage Brooks of Sand Springs, OK, Quincie Edwards of Tulsa, OK, Kaylee Weaver of Sand Springs, OK, Ethan Edwards of Sand Springs, OK and Jordan Weaver of Sand Springs, OK;

5 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way: Leighton Holmes, Harper Holmes, Turner Holmes, Baker Holmes and Pacey Loomis;

2 sisters: Christine West of Ohio and Elaine Gorman of Washington;

1 brother: Tim Matye of California;

a special cousin: Martha Huffman;

other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one brother, Jack Matye.

Active Pallbearers will be Ernest Edwards, Jr., Kevin Flurry, Wade Vann, Aaron Pitts, Ethan Edwards and Gage Brooks.

Viewing and Visitation Noon – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to may be made to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children – 3800 N. May Ave. Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
