Funeral service for Mary Elizabeth (Hubler) Mannon, 95 of Gore, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 2, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gore, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Stevenson Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on November 12, 1927 in Higley, Maricopa County, Arizona to Ella Josephine (Powell) Hubler and Peter Penrose Hubler, Sr. and passed away on November 28, 2022 in Gore, Oklahoma. She was married to Earnest “Ernie” Lloyd Mannon on March 19, 1946 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1991. Mary was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving over 75 years in many organizations within the church. She loved to square dance, shop and play with her grandchildren. Mary also greatly enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and watching OU and Thunder games. She loved unconditionally and will be greatly missed by all that she touched throughout her journey in life. If you were blessed enough to have known her, then you will understand these parting words, “I Love You.”
Survivors are one daughter, Carla Marlene (Mannon) Cato and John of Jenks, OK; four sons, Ernie Dale Mannon of Gore, OK, Gary Randy Mannon and Donna of Gore, OK, Barry Phil Mannon and Nancy of Gore, OK and Bryan Lloyd Mannon and Paula of Gore, OK; one daughter-in-law, Terri Mannon of Gore, OK; 46 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lynn Hubler, Sr. and Irma of Gore, OK; one sister-in-law, Jewell Hubler of Gore, OK; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; her parents; three sons, Terry Bob, Simon Peter and Trent Pleasant; one daughter-in-law, Deborah Mannon; one granddaughter, Maria Mannon; one grandson, Bobby Mannon; one great-grandson, Elder Ezekiel Kiewel; four sisters, Anna Mae Kennie, Ella Josephine Swearingen, Malinda Francis Sumpter and Hazel Warren; and 6 brothers, Simon George Hubler, Peter Penrose Hubler, Jr., John Moroni Hubler, Howard Douglas Hubler, William Franklin Hubler and Parley Melvin Hubler.
Active Pallbearers will be Tim Mannon, Aaron Cearley, Vaughn Mannon, Brenton Mannon, Greg Cato
and Brandon Mannon.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynn Hubler, Sr., Dale Mannon, Randy Mannon, Barry Mannon, Bryan Mannon, John Cato, Keith Cato, Ryan Hafen, Patrick Richerson, Mark Reese, Jim Chappell, Michael Wiggins.
Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gore, OK where visitation with the family will be from 6 – 8 pm.
