Funeral Service for Mary Ellen (Keaster) Bowman, 93, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mary Ellen (Keaster) Bowman was born on August 12, 1928 in McKey, Oklahoma to Zelfie B. (Taylor) Keaster and William Edward Keaster and passed away on January 8, 2022 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was married to Frank F. Bowman on August 30, 1945 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1992. Mary was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw. She liked to study and was an avid reader. She worked very hard on the farm. Mary enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was a good cook.

Survivors are:

Son, William F. Bowman and wife, Thelma, of Sallisaw, OK;

Daughter, Mary Lou Honeycutt and husband, Danny, of Roland, OK;

Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren;

1 Great-Great-Grandchild;

several other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bowman; and one son, Gene Bowman; and one Sister, Maudie May Keaster.

Viewing will be 3 – 8 PM Monday and 9 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 4 – 5 PM Tuesday.
