Memorial Service for Mary Frances (Vann) Tackett, 93, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. The family asks that social distancing be practiced and masks be worn at the service.

Memorial Service for Mary Frances (Vann) Tackett, 93, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. The family asks that social distancing be practiced and masks be worn at the service.

She was born on February 3, 1927 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, one of eight children in the family, to Frank and Beatrice (Mattox) Vann and passed away on December 13, 2020 at Sequoyah Manor Nursing Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Nolan Willard Tackett on April 4, 1945 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2017. She lived most of her working life in Kansas City, Missouri, where she was employed by and eventually retired from Merrill Lynch Stock Brokerage. After retirement, Mary relocated back to Sallisaw to the Vann Family home.

The Tackett Family would like to extend an invitation to anyone and everyone: We believe in God, Almighty; His Son and Savior of the world, The Lord Jesus Christ; The Holy Spirit of God and God’s Holy Word. Eternity begins in death. Where do you want to spend eternity? Jesus Christ really IS the real deal and we, The Tackett Family, invite you to believe in Him, as well.

Survivors are:

2 sons: Robert Tackett and Kathy of Eufaula, OK and David Tackett and Trisha of Owasso, OK;

1 daughter: Sandra (Tackett) Fox and Jerre of Kansas City, MO;

6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild;

1 sister: Carolyn Gibson of Muldrow, OK;

other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters, Jean McKever, Barbara Workman and Jackie Stewart; and four brothers, Paul, Dalton, Robert and Arthur Vann.
