Mary Jane (Capps) Smith

Graveside Service for Mary Jane Smith, 82, of Inola, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Drakestand Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on January 27, 1938 in Bakersfield, California to Geniva (Lucas) Capps and Luther Capps and passed away on April 19, 2020 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was married to Gomer Smith on January 31, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God Faith.

Survivors are:

husband: Gomer of the home;

1 daughter: Regina Williamson and Eddie of Skiatook, OK;

3 sons: Don Smith and Lynn of Bixby, OK, Wes Smith and Jeri of Huntsville, AR and James Smith and Tammie of Claremore, OK;

16 grandchildren;

12 great-grandchildren;

3 sisters: Lola Hambrick of Bartlesville, OK, Rachel Blevins of Bartlesville, OK and Jessie Deere of Depew, AR;

2 brothers: Luther James Capps of Rogers, AR and Joe Lee Capps of TN.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Charles Smith; her parents; one sister, Laura Sue Dennis; and four brothers, Teddy Ray Capps, George Edgar Capps, Roy Capps and James Lesley Capps.

Active Pallbearers will be Don Smith, James Smith, Wes Smith, Tyler Whitecotton, Jerry Wayne Smith and Gary Taylor.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 4 PM Tuesday and 10 AM – 4 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
