Graveside Service for Mary Josephine (Grant) Ward, 82, formerly of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on July 16, 1937 in Perry, Oklahoma to Grace May (Sherwin) Grant and Ivan K. Grant, Sr. and passed away on April 17, 2020 in Tampa, Florida. She was married to Weldon Clifton Ward, Sr. on February 28, 1953 in Redrock, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2003. She was retired from Rheem Manufacturing and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

2 daughters: Tina Jo Hadley of Tampa, FL and Gwendolyn S. Kass and Robert of Sallisaw, OK;

2 sons: Weldon C. Ward, Jr. and Konnie of Sallisaw, OK and Troy S. Ward of Sallisaw, OK;

7 grandchildren: Steven, Timothy, Samantha, Weldon III, Celest, Constance and James;

12 great-grandchildren;

sister: Joyce Jean Collier of IL;

2 brothers: Ivan Grant, Jr. of Sallisaw, OK and Rodney Dean Grant of Sallisaw, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nina Ward; husband; parents; and 2 sisters, Ramona Townsend and Sandra Lee Wilson.

Viewing will be 10AM – 4PM Monday, 10AM – 4PM Tuesday and 10AM – 4PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
