Mary Yvonne (Stinnett) Green

Funeral Service for Mary Yvonne (Stinnett) Green, 87, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mary Yvonne (Stinnett) Green passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 21, 2022. She was born on September 26, 1934, in McKey, Oklahoma to Faxon and Mary (May) Stinnett. She married the love of her life, Doyle Lamont Green, on September 15, 1974 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Yvonne worked at DHS until she retired.

She was well-known for her kindness and love for her family and friends. To know her was to lover her, with a great loving and caring personality, she always had time to take care of her family and her friends. Yvonne enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, her two brothers and their families. She also enjoyed the Stinnett family reunions that were held every year in June. She loved to cook, bake, sew, quilt, can and make jelly and freezer jam.

Yvonne had a beautiful voice and was choir director and sang in the choir at the Methodist Church for several years.

At one time, her and her husband, Doyle, belonged to a car club and enjoyed going and competing in car shows.

She will truly be missed and never forgotten for the wonderful, kind person she was. We all loved her dearly and she will remain in our hearts forever.

Son and Daughter-in-Law, Randy Wheeler and Jill of Edmond, OK;

3 Daughters and Sons-in-Laws, Cynda Real and Mike of McKey, OK, Tanya Green and Buddy Shore of Wisconsin and Nikki Stroud and Shane of Pottsville, AR;

1 Brother and Sister-in-Law, Charles Stinnett and Linda of Coweta, OK;

2 Sisters-in-Law, Jodie Stinnett of Tulsa, OK and Angela Casey of Fort Smith, AR;

10 Grandchildren, Michelle Real, Melinda McKinney and John, Natasha Sodowski and Jason, Matt Real and Ashley, Tiffany Horan and Kevin, Ryan Wheeler and Billie Jo, Chase Stroud, Daniel Stroud, Julia Shore and Kai Stroud;

12 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild;

Host of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends;

and her best friend, Lola Ritter and Jerald.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mark Wheeler; one brother, Orville Stinnett; one grandson, Shane Wheeler; and one brother-in-law, Norman Green.

Active Pallbearers will be Matt Real, Mike Real, Shane Stroud and Jason Sodowski.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joel Stinnett, Scott Buckman, Neill Pulliam, Mark Schenk, Scott Stinnett, Ryan Wheeler and Kevin Horan.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 6 PM Saturday, 2 – 8 PM Sunday and 10 AM – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 3 – 5 PM Sunday.
