He was born on June 23, 1946 in Marble City, Oklahoma to Irene (Kennedy) Rider and Olen Rider and passed away on December 8, 2018 in Marble City, Oklahoma. He was married to Bonnie Rider on October 15, 1993 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was an auto parts salesman and of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors are:

Wife of 25 years: Bonnie of the home

1 son and daughter in law: Trent and Deborah Rider of Marble City, OK

1 daughter and son in law: Tiffany and Tony Lewis of Muldrow, OK

5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

4 sisters: Thelma York of Dallas, TX, Phyllis Davis of Dallas, TX, Patricia Taylor of Sallisaw, OK,
and Kathy Farris of Marble City, OK

several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Irene Rider
