Mose Nofire

Funeral Service for Mose Nofire, 85 of Nicut community, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Belfonte Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Belfonte Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on May 11, 1938 in Nicut, Oklahoma to Euna Belle (Coleman) Nofire and Rev. Robert Nofire and passed away on April 27, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was married to Mary Mae (Bird) Nofire on May 15, 1961 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. Mr. Nofire was a former road grader for Sequoyah County District 3.

Survivors are wife, Mary of the home; two daughters, Sylvia Holmes and Charlie of Muldrow, OK and Rebecca Nofire and Jonathan Bird of Muldrow, OK; three grandchildren, Jeremy Mabray of Roland, OK, Kaira Qualls of Muldrow, OK and Tristan Williams of Muldrow, OK; two great-grandchildren, Kailee Emerson of Vian, OK and Caleb Mabray of Fort Smith, AR; two sisters, Akie Gourd of Tahlequah, OK and Margaret Terrapin of Stilwell, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by three children, Mose Nofire Jr., Amy Nofire and Scotty Nofire, his parents and seven brothers, Abel, James, Clifton, Jackson, Robert Jr., Clayton and Jerry Nofire.

Active Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bird, Tristan Williams, Tyler Terrapin, Jeremy Mabray, Caleb Mabray and Ricky Don Teehee. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Holmes, Joe Byrd, Denny Soap, Levi Eagle, George Byrd, and Lyle Denny. 

Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 6 - 8 pm.
